June found our members hard at work on their show display pieces

Thanks to those of you who stopped by to say "hello" and sign up for our email list at the Tucson Doll Show!
It was great meeting new friends! This year we are making 1:12th scale travel trailers for our club project! As you may remember from the January post, member Sallie Grumka put together the kits and taught the class. We will have them displayed at our upcoming show "Mini Roads Traveled". Some members have already finished theirs! Visit the gallery to see some pictures of the finished pieces - of course you'll have to go to the show to see them displayed in all their glory, the picture don't do them justice!
This month, along with our annual "White Elephant Sale" we also had a lot of show and tell projects. What fun! Here is one of the show and tell photos - a "Witch's Garden" by Madison Harper. TMS meets on the First Saturday of each month at 10:30 am. The meetings are held at a couple of different places:
The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures, 4455 E. Camp Lowell OR Ward 6 Council Office, 3202 E. First St. (Country Club & Speedway area) The Agenda at each meeting is much the same: Business, Refreshments, Workshop January 5th – Miniature Museum – 10:00am to 3:30pm (Trailer Workshop) February 2nd -- Ward 6 Office – 10:30am to 1:30pm (Guest Speakers, Trailer Workshop?) Our 2019 slate of officers is: President Lani Smith Vice President Tori West Secretary Kathy Grissom Treasurer Jim Walcutt Show Chairman Sallie Grumka We're looking forward to a great year full of projects and fun! Time to get those projects done, volunteer to help, if you haven't already, and figure out what to buy!
This year we have a particularly large selection of houses and room boxes for our real estate sales table. I'll be posting those pics on the show and sale page. Remember that we also have some great raffle prizes this year, along with the silent auction! Are you excited??? Thanks to all of you who joined us for our open house! It was great meeting you, fun making projects and talking with you, and joyful to accept some of you as new club members! ![]() Looking forward to seeing new friends at the October House. We will have make n' take projects, and attendees will receive free admission to tour the museum after the meeting.
